COREX Industrial CT Steals the Spotlight at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2026

CoreX CT Tomography by Ready at Southern Manufacturing 2026

READY Metrology returned from Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2026 with one clear message: industrial computed tomography is ready for the shop floor.

Held from 3–5 February 2026 at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, the event once again proved to be one of the most important meeting points for the UK and European manufacturing industry. Among hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors, COREX, READY’s shop-floor industrial CT system, attracted exceptional interest and engagement throughout the three-day exhibition.

A Strong Response from the Manufacturing Community

Presented in partnership with LK Metrology, COREX was showcased as a practical alternative to traditional laboratory-based CT systems. Visitors to the READY Metrology stand experienced first-hand how fast, accessible and production-ready industrial tomography can be.

Engineers, quality managers and production leaders from sectors including automotive, aerospace, medical and electronics stopped to discuss real-world challenges: internal defects, complex geometries, long inspection cycles and the growing demand for in-process quality control.

COREX addressed these challenges directly — and the response was immediate.

Why COREX Resonated at Southern Manufacturing

Unlike conventional industrial CT systems, COREX is designed specifically for shop-floor quality control, combining speed, simplicity and metrological reliability in a single solution.

Key features that captured attention at the show included:

  • Ultra-fast scan times
Typical inspections are completed in 20–30 seconds for plastics, rubber and composites, and 40–50 seconds for denser materials such as aluminium or titanium.

  • One-touch operation
COREX can be operated by production staff with no specialist training, making tomography accessible beyond the metrology lab.

  • On-board software and immediate results
No external software, no complex workflows — dimensional analysis, defect detection and reporting are available directly at the machine.

  • True shop-floor integration
Compact footprint, robust design and fast cycle times allow COREX to be placed directly in production environments.

These capabilities positioned COREX not just as a measurement system, but as a process-enabling tool.

From Inspection to Process Control

One of the most discussed topics at Southern Manufacturing was the shift from end-of-line inspection to continuous process optimisation.

COREX enables manufacturers to:

  • Detect internal defects early

  • Correlate internal geometry with production parameters

  • Reduce scrap and rework

  • Support zero-defect manufacturing strategies

By delivering fast, repeatable CT data directly on the shop floor, COREX allows quality control to become an active part of production — not a bottleneck.

A Milestone Event for READY Metrology

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2026 marked an important milestone for READY Metrology. The high level of interest, technical discussions and follow-up meetings confirmed that the market is ready for a new approach to industrial CT — one that is faster, simpler and economically sustainable.

COREX stood out as a concrete answer to today’s manufacturing needs, reinforcing READY Metrology’s mission:
bringing advanced metrology technologies out of the lab and into real production environments.
